What are the main geographical features of rice,wheat,and sugarcane?

Answer» i. Rice -It grows well in warm and humid conditions. The crop requires plenty of rainfall between 150 to 250 cm. It is a Kharif crop which is sown in June and harvested in September or October. However, it can also be grown throughout the year if irrigation facilities are available.ii. Wheat -It can grow well in many climatic conditions, though it grows best during cool winters. It requires moderate rainfall between 70-80cm. It is a rabi crop which is sown before winters and harvested in April.iii. Sugarcane: It is a tropical as well as a subtropical crop. It grows well in hot and humid climate with a temperature of 21°C to 27°C and an annual rainfall between 75cm. and 100cm. Irrigation is required in the regions of low rainfall. It can be grown on a variety of soils and needs manual labour from sowing to harvesting.
