Under social development, the activities related to education, medicine, housing, social security, selflessness etc. are covered. Excellent work is being done by the Rajasthan government in all the above mentioned areas. Understanding the fact, that education increases people’s productivity and creativity, the State Government is making concerted efforts to improve the social and economic status of the people of the state by developing and expanding educational resources.

The government has made remarkable progress in the field of medical services and health care, which is one of the most important components of social development. As a result, there is a decrease in the death rate in the state especially the mother and the child death rate. Through various schemes like Free Medicine Scheme, Check-up Scheme, Mother-Child Safety Scheme (Janani Shishu Suraksha Yojna), National Health Mission, Chief Minister B.P.L., Life Insurance Fund, etc. medical and health facilities are being utilised by the people.

and Food Security are such a vital development that cannot be ignored. Housing is being provided to the deprived and poor families through Chief Minister Housing Scheme and Chief Minister Public Housing Scheme. Along with this, under the Cleanliness Campaign, the Rajasthan government is also providing financial help to the poor families with no toilets to build toilets to stop defecation in open.

In order to provide help to the poor in the state, the state government is providing foodgrains to the financially weak families at very cheaper rates under the food security campaign. It is clear from the above details that the Rajasthan government is on the path of social development.
