Rajasthan’s economic development is an integral form of development of many components of the economy such as minerals and industries, energy resources, transport and technology. Although, the economy of Rajasthan is basically agriculture and village based, but here mainly the mineral and garments-based industries are found which are playing important role in the economic development of the state.

We can understand the contribution made by the energy resources in the state’s economic development, through this view that without it industrial activities are not possible and without industrial development economic development cannot be imagined. The rural non-conventional energy projects, thermal projects, and development of energy resources in Rajasthan have brought the economic development of the state on the path of progress.

Expansion of roads and railroads in the state have been given new direction for economic development. Technological development is very closely related to economic development. Keeping this in view, the state has established “Technical University of Rajasthan” in Kota.

This is increasing the availability of skilled people in technical and management spheres, who are making important contributions to the economic development of the state. Not only this, for promoting technical activities, “Information Technology Park” and “Knowledge Corridor” work is in the process of being established.It is clear from the above statement that various components, sponsored by Government in the economic development of Rajasthan, are discharging their important roles.
