What did liberalism stands for middle class in Europe

Answer» The word "liberalism" derived from the "Latin word ‘liber\'", which means "freedom". The concept of liberalism was born in the middle class. The "middle class" had a "free-thinking mentality" and the "ideas of nationalism" led them to put an end to the gap existing between "aristocracy and other classes". They wanted to form a national government of the people which treated everyone equally. Although liberalism popularised the idea of a people’s government, not everyone had the right to vote. For example: In France, "women" are inferior to "men".
