Solution :Chemical EQUILIBRIUM is THESTATE for a revrsible chemical reaction where rate of forward direction is equally balanced by rate of backward direction and the process seems like to be stopped.
Its CHARACTERISTICS are,
(i) The rate of the forward and backward reaction are equal in a chemical equilibrium.
(ii)The OBSERVABLE properties such as pressure,concencentration,color ,viscosity,etc.of the system unchanged with time.
(iii)In physical equilibrium ,the VOLUME of all phases remain constant.
