1.	What is anamolous behavious of water? Also explain the following : In cold regions in winter,the rocks crack due to anomalous expansion of water.
Answer» Solution :Sometimes water enters into crevices of the rocks.When the temperature of the atmosphere FALLS below `4^(@)C`, water EXPANDS .EVEN when water freezs toform ICE, there is increase in its volume.As thereis no room for expansion, it exerts a tremendous pressure on the rocks which crack and break up into small PIECES.
