Solution :A CHEMICAL reaction in which exchange of iron takes place between two COMPOUNDS to form new compounds is called double displacement reaction.
Example : When aqueous solution of Sodium SULPHATE and barium chloride are added or mixed, ion exchange takes place to form Barium sulphate and Sodium chloride :
`Na_(2)SO_(4)(aq)+BaCl_(2)(aq)toBaSO_(4)+2NaCl(aq)`.
