| Answer» A pipeline transportation is the new arrival of transportation in the map of transportation. in the past is was used for the transportation of water but nowadays it is used to transport mineral oil, natural gas, petroleum products etc and solid when converted into slurry.Merits:i)subsequent cost of laying pipe lines is minimal.ii) tTran-shipment losses is minimal.Demerits:i) Initial cost of laying pipeline is high.ii) In case if there is leakage or break in pipes it would lead to the loss of valuable resources like mineral oil,water. | |
