What is the problem of awadh peasants

Answer» Following were the three major problems faced by the peasants of Awadh during the days of the Non Co-operation Movement:\t\xa0In Awadh, the talukdars and landlords extracted very high rents and a variety of other cesses from the peasants.\t\xa0The peasants also had to do ‘begar’ labour for the landlords and work on their farms without any remuneration.\t\xa0There was no security of tenure and peasants were often evicted, in order to deny any opportunity for them to develop a right over the land they cultivated.
