The union with Scotland act 1706 passed by the Parliamentary of England, and the union with England Act passed in 1707 by the Parliament of scotland. The Act of Union was signed between between England and Scotland in 1707. This resulted in the formation of the ‘United Kingdom of Great Britain’ meant, in effect, that England was able to impose its influence on Scotland. The British parliament was henceforth dominated by its English members. |
