(1) Wires used for carrying current should be of proper current rating .
(2) Twoseparate CIRCUITS shouldbe used , oneof5A currentfor lighttingelectric BULBS, tubes , TV, etc.andanotherof 15A for highercurrentratingappliancesuchas heatingappliances , AC, etc .
(3) Parallel circuits should be usedand each ciruitshould havea fuseof proper ratting .
(4) Too many higherpowerratingelectrical appliancesuchas electriciron , geyser , air - condition , etc . should not beswitchedon atthe same time .
(5) Too many electrical APPLIANCES shouldnot be operatedona single socketsimultaneously .
(6) Wires should bereplaced bynew wires of proper ratingand goodinsulation after every5-6 years.
(7) PVC of good qualityshouldbe used .
