Answer» Solution :Hydrochloric acid is produced in our STOMACH. The excess acid in the stomach CAUSES indigestion which produces pain irritation. This effect can be cured by using antacids. Antacids (a group of mild bases ) react with excess acid in the stomach and NEUTRALISE it.
