Answer» SOLUTION :Iron being more REACTIVE than copper, displaces copper from copper sulphate by the following reaction : `Fe+underset("Blue")(CuSO_(4))tounderset("green")underset("Light")(FeSO_(4))+underset("colour")underset(Brown")(Cu)` Brown coating of copper is deposited on the iron rod. Colour of the solution becomes green due to the formation of FERROUS sullphate. |
