Why are copper and aluminium wires usually employed for electricity transmission? Explain. |
|
Answer» Solution :Because - COPPER and aluminium have low electric resistivity. so they conduct electric CURRENT without heavy heat losses (due to which they are known as very good CONDUCTORS of electricity). Copper and aluminium are much more easily and CHEAPLY available as COMPARED to metal like silver. They can be easily made into wires due to high malleability. Therefore. copper and aluminium wires are usually employed for electricity transmission. |
