| Answer» After arriving in India in 1915 Mahatma Gandhi successfully organised Satyagraha Movement in various places this include Champaran in Bihar 1916 Kheda district of Gujarat 1917 and Ahmedabad in Gujarat 1918 .Gandhiji in 1990 decided to launch a nationwide against the proposed Rowlatt act. According to this law the government has the authority to repress political activities and allow detension of political prisoners without trials for 2 years. Gandhi wanted a non violence civil disobedience that is Satyagraha movement against such unjust law all over India .Thus it started with a hartal on 6thApril 1919. | |
