Why did the merchants travelled to the countryside in 17th and 18th century Europe? |

Answer» In the towns, guilds were dominant and due to this system (guild system) merchants were unable to set up their businesses. At that time, markets were influenced and controlled by guilds, which prohibited new businessmen nd traders to start a new business thus, merchants turned to countryside. For setup their root strongly for importing and exporting the good from one country to another because during this aera the sea root is the best root for transporting material |
