1.	Why do HCl, HNO_(3), etc., show acidic characters in aqueous solutions while solution of compounds like alcohol and glucose do not show acidic character ?
Answer» SOLUTION :HCl and `HNO_3` produce `H^+` in aqueous solution HENCE they show acidic character. ALCOHOL and glucose do not produce `H^+` in aqueous solution, hence they do not show acidic character.
