Why does a current-carrying conductor experience a force in a magnetic field?

Answer»

Solution :An electric CURRENTFLOWING through a conductor producesa magnetic field. As per Newton.s third LAW of motion, the magnet must also exert an equal and oppositeforce on the current-carrying conductor. THUS a current-carrying conductor experiences a FORCE in a magnetic field. In 1820, French Scientist Andre Marie Ampere experimentally demonstrated the existence of this force.
