Answer» Jhalliawalla bagh massacre - The 1919 amritsar massacre known alternatively as the Jhalliawalla bagh in Northern India city of amritsar, was ordered by general R.E.H.Dyer. On Sunday april 13,1919 ,which happened to be baisakhi, one of the largest religious festivals of punjab, fifty British Indian army soldiers commanded by Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer began shooting at an unarmed gathering of men,women and children without warning. Civil surgeon Dr. Williams DeeMeddy indicates that there were 1,526 casualties. However,the casually number quoted by the Indian National Congress was more than 1,500 with roughly 1,000 killed.
(i) When Mahatma Gandhi start rowllat satyagraha against rowllat act in 1919.(ii) British government passed martial law.(iii) In this law any one does not able to make group to do protest.(iv)On 13 April in Amritsar some people go to celebrate basakhi and some go to make group for protest.(v)Gernal Dyar blocked the gate of the ground and start open fire. Many peoples are deied in this incidence.(vi) When Mahatma Gandhi hear this incidence he called off the rowllat satyagraha.(vii) This incidence is known as jallehan wala bagh hatya kand.

On April 13 , 1919 , British indian army soldiers started shooting at an unarmed crowd of Man Isle women and children. The person in charge was Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer , the military commander of Amritsar.The shooting latest about ten minutes . According to official British Raj sources 379 people were killed.
