1.

Write two differences between ideal and non-ideal solutions.

Answer»

The solutions which obey Raoult‘s law over the entire range of concentration are known as ideal solutions. ΔHmix = 0, ΔVmix = 0, AA, BB and AB interactions are equal. When a solution does not obey Raoult‘s law over the entire range of concentration, then it is called non-ideal solution. ΔHmix and ΔVmix are not equal to 0, AA, BB and AB interactions are not equal.
