What is the difference between virtual truth and real truth??? |
|
Answer» This answer is with respect to chapter "Virtually True" .Virtual truth and real truth are all together different from one another. While what takes place in the story is virtually true meaning, it had not happened in the real world, the possibility of any such incident happening in the real life if zero. Whatever happened to Michael was true. But it happened in the virtual world of the computer. Hence, this situation is expressed by the author with the help of a clever word play which juxtaposes \'truth\' in the real world against \'virtual\' reality. The chapter is a science fiction. A story that revolves around the protagonist,\xa0Sebastian Schultz whose memory gets saved in the computer memory when his head bangs on the laptop on meeting with an accident while, playing psycho drive games. These games were bought by the narrator and his father from a computer fair. Sebastian seeks Michael\'s help to escape from the game. Finally, Sebastian is rescued by Michael in the fourth game. Michael comes to know about Sebastian\'s condition through a headline in the newspaper which said \'Miracle Recovery\'. According to this article, Sebastian Schultz survived coma that the doctors felt might last forever. Therefore, the story blurs the boundaries between the virtual world and reality. So, the title Virtually True is totally appropriate. Virtual means that we think.but the real is natural is that the thing happened . Virtual truth is made by us |

Describe the teaching methods of Miss Sullivan? From Novel The story of my life |
| Answer» Miss Sullivan did not believe in formal class-room teaching. She introduced the play-way method into her teaching making Helen study outdoors. She made Helen actually feel the nature and its creations. She explained Helen all about earth, poles, mountains, valleys, and drifts in such a way that she could actually understand and feel the things around her. This manner of teaching helped Helen to learn things faster. It became much easier for her to imagine, understand and remember things.Miss Sullivans had taken Helen by the hand across the fields where men were preparing the earth for the seed, to the banks of the Tennessee River. Sitting on the warm grass, she began the first lessons for Helen in the beneficence of nature. Helen learned how the sun and rain make the ground give life to trees that are not only pleasant to the sight but also good for food, how birds build their nest and thrive from land to land. Also, how every creature finds food and shelter. As Helen\'s knowledge of these things grew, she felt more and more the delight of the world she lived in. Long before she learned to do a sum in arithmetic or describe the shape of the earth, Miss Sullivan had taught her to find the beauty in the fragrant woods, in every blade of grass and in the curves and dimples of her baby sister\'s hand. She linked her earliest thoughts with nature and made her attuned to the beauty that abounds in the world. | |
