What is difference between sigma bond and pie bond

Answer» \tSigma BondPi BondDuring sigma bond formation overlapping orbitals can either be one hybrid orbital and a single pure orbital, or two pure orbitals and two hybrid orbitals.During pi bond formation overlapping orbitals must be two unhybridized orbitals.Sigma bonds are known to exist independently and allow free rotation.Pi-bonds must always exist along with sigma bond and the rotation is restricted.Sigma bonds are stronger bonds.Pi bonds are usually less powerful compared to sigma bonds.Sigma bonds are formed first when atoms interact.Pi bonds between two atoms are formed after sigma bonds are formed between them.During the bonding between two given atoms, Only one sigma bond is formed. Here two pi bonds can exist between two atoms.Sigma bonds are known to have cylindrical charge symmetry around the axis of the bond.No symmetry exists in pi bonds.Atoms with sigma bonds can be highly reactive.Atoms with pi bonds are not as reactive in nature when compared to those with only sigma bonds.Sigma bond can be used to determine the shapes of molecules.Pi bond cannot be used for the same purpose.\t

Why sky colour appeaes blue

Answer» Because scattering of light. The molecules of air reflect the light radiation.
Due to scattering of light
The molecules of air and other fine particles in the atmosphere have smaller size than the wavelength of visible light. These are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelengths at the blue end than light of longer wavelengths at the red end. The red light has a wavelength about 1.8 times greater than blue light. Thus, when sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the fine particles in air scatter the blue colour (shorter wavelengths) more strongly than red. The scattered blue light enters our eyes.

How is clotting done by platelets?

Answer» Platelets also interact with other blood proteins to form fibrin. Fibrin strands form a net that entraps more platelets and blood cells, producing a clot that plugs the break. Formation of a clot also involves activation of a sequence of blood clotting factors that generate thrombin.Coagulation (also known as clotting) is the process by which blood changes from a liquid to a gel, forming a blood clot. It potentially results in hemostasis, the cessation of blood loss from a damaged vessel, followed by repair. The mechanism of coagulation involves activation, adhesion, and aggregation of platelets along ,in the blood is generally done using the Clauss method for fibrinogen testing. On the surface of these activated platelets, many different clotting factors work together in a series of complex chemical reactions (known as the coagulation cascade) to form a fibrin clot. The clot acts like a mesh to stop the bleeding. Coagulation factors circulate in the blood in an inactive form.
Whenever there is a cut platelets rupture to form Thromboplastin which is coverted into thrombin in the presence of ca+ions. Then it is turns in febrinogen and febrin which lead to blood clotting
