What is the importance of indian 86th amendment of constitution? |
Answer» stitution (Eighty-sixth Amendment) Act, 2002 inserted ARTICLE 21-A in the Constitution of India to provide free and compulsory EDUCATION of all children in the age group of six to fourteen years as a Fundamental Right in such a manner as the State may, by law, determine. The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009, which represents the consequential legislation envisaged under Article 21-A, means that every child has a right to full time elementary education of satisfactory and equitable quality in a formal school which satisfies certain essential norms and standards.Article 21-A and the RTE Act came into effect on 1 April 2010. The title of the RTE Act incorporates the words ‘free and compulsory’. ‘Free education’ means that no child, other than a child who has been admitted by his or her parents to a school which is not supported by the appropriate Government, shall be liable to pay any kind of FEE or CHARGES or expenses which may prevent him or her from pursuing and completing elementary education. ‘Compulsory education’ casts an obligation on the appropriate Government and local authorities to provide and ensure admission, attendance and completion of elementary education by all children in the 6-14 age group. With this, India has moved forward to a rights based framework that casts a legal obligation on the Central and State Governments to implement this fundamental child right as enshrined in the Article 21A of the Constitution, in accordance with the provisions of the RTE Act |

Difference between republic form of government and monarchy meritnay |
Answer» cy A democracy can be defined as a government system with supreme power placed in the hands of the people. It can be traced back to as early as the fifth century B.C. In fact, the word democracy is Greek for “people power”. While most use the United States as an example of a democratic government system, the United States actually has what is called a representative democracy. The difference lies in the method of civilian participation. In a direct democracy, every citizen is given an equal say in the government. In a representative democracy, citizens elect representatives who MAKE the law. The difference is significant when put into action. Other examples of democratic states include Aruba, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.Monarchy In a monarchy, state power is held by a single FAMILY that inherits RULE from one generation to the next. In a monarchy, an individual from the royal family holds the position of power until they die. Today, the majority of monarchy governments have transitioned to constitutional monarchies, where the monarch is head of state but only performs ceremonial roles and does not have state power. Only a few COUNTRIES still have systems where the monarch retains control; these include Brunei, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Swaziland. |

Discuss the system of reserved constituencies followed in India |
Answer» a, a certain NUMBER of political positions and university posts are held for specific groups of the population, including Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes, Anglo-Indians and Women. There are reserved constituencies in both Parliamentary and State Assembly elections. Candidates of General category are not eligible to contest from these constituencies. All VOTERS are to vote for one of the candidates (from Scheduled Castes or Schedule Tribes). In case of Municipal elections and other Local Bodies elections, the constituencies are known as Wards. Thus, there may be as many Wards or Constituencies as the number of elected seats in the elected body. Reserved constituencies are those constituencies in which seats are reserved for SCs and STs on the basis of their population. In earlier History of India under BRITISH rule, separate electorate MEANT not only were the seats reserved for a specific community, but voting for the reserved constituency was allowed for only members of that specific community. For EXAMPLE, only Muslims could vote for Muslim candidates in the reserved constituencies for Muslims. |

What will happen if political parties does not exist. Explain. |
Answer» ateYou’d end up with new political parties. There’s no stopping LIKE minded people from grouping together. It’s also important to understand how elections work and take a passing glance at the constitution to understand things.First, understand that the President needs to get a majority of electoral votes to win. That means 50% plus 1. If 3 people run, and Candidate A gets 40% of the electoral votes, Candidate B gets 31% and Candidate gets 29%, who wins? You’d think, Candidate A, but you’re wrong. Nobody got to 50%, so there’s no winner. The backup plan is that then the House of Representatives elects the President out of the top 3 FINISHERS. If, for whatever reason, Candidate C has more support in the House, he/she will be moving into the White House. So now imagine if there were 6 parties. Do you think it would be harder to get to 50% with 6 parties all splitting up the electorate? I do. And the House would be DECIDING a lot more elections. As it stands now, most 3rd parties end up splitting the vote of either the Republicans or Democrats, thereby weakening the party that they’re closest to. That’s why a strong 3rd party will often try to absorb 3rd parties that are closest to them.In the end, the parties get their power from the people who support them. By power, you could also say “money” which is then concentrated BEHIND candidates that are aligned with the party. If you woke up tomorrow and the Republicans and Democrats were outlawed, you’d wind up with multiple candidates and elections where people with very low support would get elected. Eventually people would find this to be stupid and smaller/fractured parties would come together and eventually you’d most likely get back to two big parties: one on the left, and one on the right.Hope this helps you mate... |
