So, cost of Kurta = Rs. x + 12

⇒ Cost of 5 shirts = 5 × x = Rs. 5x

⇒ Cost of 2 kurtas = 2 × (x + 12) = Rs. 2x + 24

According to the question

⇒ 5x + 2x + 24 = 234

⇒ 7x = 234 -24

⇒ 7x = 210

⇒ x = 210/7

⇒ x = 30

⇒ Cost of 1 Shirt = Rs. 30
