A liquid has a mass density of 1550 kg/m^3. Calculate its specific weight.(a) 1.50×102 N/m^3(b) 1.52×104 N/m^3(c) 1.54×104 N/m^3(d) 1.50×104 N/m^3This question was posed to me in unit test.Origin of the question is Classification of Fluids in chapter Fluid Flow and Mixing of Bioprocess Engineering

Answer» RIGHT option is (B) 1.52×104 N/m^3

To explain I would SAY: Given DATA: Mass density = 1550 kg/m^3

Specific weight = mass density × Acceleration DUE to gravity

= 1550 kg/m^3 × 9.8 m/s^2

= 1.52×10^4 N/m^3.
