Common salt conducts electricity only in molten state. Why? |
|
Answer» Ok thanxx Why ionic compound breakdown in water but they have high electrostatic force? Ok thanxx to all three of you and special thanxx for someone...?? Because in molten state salt contains freeions Common salts are actually ionic compounds formed by positive and negatively charged ions. they Associate into positive and negative ions only in water.._ve end of H2O molecule attracts the +ve end of the salt and vice versa..Thus ions becomes free and are available for the conduction of electric current.. Because nacl break into na+ and cl- ions which help to conduct electricity? Because then breakdown with ions or they have free ions in molten state Any one..! |
