Describe the nutrition process in amoeba. |
| Answer» 1.Ingestion : Amoeba ingest food by using its pseudopodia. Amoeba ingest this food particle by forming temporary finger like protection called pseudopodia. 2. Digestion : The enzymes from surrounding cytoplasm enter into the food vacule and breakdown the food into small and soluble molecule by chemical reactions. 3. Absorption : The digest food present in the food vacule of Amoeba is absorbed directly into the cytoplasm of Amoeba cell by diffusion. 4. Assimilation : A part of the food absorbed in Amoeba cell is used to obtain energy through respiration. The remaining part of absorbed food is used to make the parts of Amoeba cell which lead to the growth of the Amoeba. 5. Election : Amoeba has no fixed place for removing the undigested part of the food. When considerable amount of undigest food collect inside Amoeba. | |
