| Answer» The disadvantages of using biomass as fuel are:1. Pollution- Burning of biomass fuel directly produces lot of smoke and other gaseous pollutants.i.e creates air pollution.2. Efficiency is less - Incomplete and slow burning results in low calorific value (low heat producing value)compared to other fuels.i.e produces less heat per unit mass, on burning. Wood,agricultural wastes,cow dung are examples of biomass fuel. | |
