Answer» Thank you yar.......it helped me a lot., The word fission means splitting and breaking up into parts. Thus, nuclear fission reaction involves splitting up of nucleus into parts. Nuclear fission reaction is the reaction in which heat is released in unlimited amount which is very useful for the purposes based on high energy requirement. In this nuclear elements like uranium, plutonium etc. are reacted with low enegy neutrons. After the reaction the heavy atom ( uranium) splits into lighter atoms like barium and krypton with three neutrons and tremendous amount of energy is evolved. |
