Answer» Xylem In plants the yransportation of food and water is held by the vascular tissue. Vascular tissue has 2 types: xylem, phloem.Xylem transport the water and minerals from root to the upper part of plants. It takes place only in upper direction. Continue losses of water molecule known as transpiration made a suction. This suction helps in transporting of water to plants in upward direction. Phloem transports the food to plants in upward and downward direction. Sugar(food) prepare in the leaves and loaded in sieve tubes when water is entered into the sieve tubes it push the food goes from high pressure to low pressure to all parts of the plant. |
