1.

Explain various types of plants movement.

Answer» 1.)Thigmonasty: It is seen in Touch Me Not plant. The base of the leaf of these plants are swollen and they contain water. The swollen portion is known as pulvinus. When the leaf is not touched water moves out from the pulvinus and the leaf droops down. When danger is gone the water again returns to the pulvinus and the leaves spread out.2.) Phototropism: Auxin has a tendency to away from the stimulus in case of when the sun light falls on the plant auxin moves towards the other side of the stem since auxin brings about cell elongation on the opposite side of the stem there is an irregular growth due to this the plant will bend towards the sunlight.3.) Chemotopism: The pollen grains land on the stigma the stigma produce the Pollen tube. The Pollen tube moves through the style, ovary and to the micropyle. The Pollen tube produces a chemical substance due to which this movement takes place. This is a chemotropic movement.4.) Hydrotropism: We take a mesh and put some soil and water in it. Then we place some germinating seed on it. The roots will be produced after few days and it will pass through the the pores in the mesh into the air. It will find no water and will turn backwards into the soil in search of water.
Mastic and tropic movement. Mastic movement is not response to stimuli and tropic movement is response to stimuli.
