Give reason the wall of trachea is supported by cartilage over rings

Answer» C-shape rings of cartilage are present to prevent trachea to collapse when there is no air
The "walls of trachea" are supported by "rings" to restrict it from "collapsing". "Trachea" is also referred as "windpipe" as it provides a "passage for air" and carries it to the lungs. In humans, this is a part of the "respiration" process. The "air" enters the hair and mucus lined nostril. It then passes through the trachea and enters the lungs. "Trachea" bifurcates into "bronchi" which further divides into alveoli where exchanges of gases takes place.
