"Trachea" is also referred as "windpipe" as it provides a "passage for air" and carries it to the lungs. In humans, this is a part of the "respiration" process. The "air" enters the hair and mucus lined nostril. It then passes through the trachea and enters the lungs. "Trachea" bifurcates into "bronchi" which further divides into alveoli where exchanges of gases takes place. |
