Answer» Thank you all friend Cu, Ag, Au and Pb this all are not react with any water. Copper does not react with hot water , cold water and steam water and Cu, Ag, Au and Pb Copper does not react with cold water, hot water or steam however iron reacts with steam. If water tanks are made of steel which is an iron alloy than iron would react with steam formed from hot water.3Fe + 4H2\u200bO →Fe3\u200bO4\u200b + 4H2\u200bThat is why copper is used to make hot water tanks and not steel. Because iron will rust. |
