Solve : Age of Empires III problem?

Answer»

Everytime I play this game, a message comes up about my laptop not having the right ghz processor. The game needs 1.4 and the laptop has 0.9. My questions are:
1-what is a ghz processor?
2-what does it do?
3-what does this message mean?
4-how can I fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated Download, and install Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html
Open it, click Computer, then Summary.
In upper menu, go Report>Quick Report-Summary
Save it in text file, and paste it in your next post.
Don't include anything under line Debug - PCI Sorry not trying to take the wind out of Carbons sails but.. it STATES you need a 1.4 ghz processor and you have a 900mhz. What that is telling you is your CPU is not powerful enough to play this game. End of, you cannot play the game your computer is to slow. And to be fair at 900mhz CPU you are GOING to struggle playing anything modern.heh, AOE3 barely runs on my machine, a 1.6 Ghz P4...

And... it's 900 Mhz, not mb Quote from: big_mac123 on July 14, 2009, 06:26:27 AM

1. As explained, 1.4 Ghz (gigahertz) would be the processor speed.
2. 1 ghz is 1,000 Mhz (megahertz)
3. It means that your 900 Mhz processor is not fast enough to play the game.
4. Upgrade your computer to a processor that is atleast 1.4Ghz.

Seeing as this is a laptop, you might not be able to upgrade it though. Short of buying a new computer, there's probably NOTHING you can do.Quote from: BC_Programmer on July 16, 2009, 10:01:06 PM

I don't know what you mean Short of buying a new computer, there's probably nothing you can do.

hes right u might as well get a brand new one it would be a lot betteronly way to fix the problem of not having enough CPU horsepower is to either replace with better CPU that your motherboard can handle or buy a new computer

and for laptop, I THINK you're not going to be able to replace the CPU easily so get a new one.
