Hello. Recently animations that were animated are now still pictures. I have tried the Firefox and Internet explorer and it shows animated gifs as still pictures. I think this has happened before but they came back over a short period of time. It has been about 3 days now and the animations are still motionless pictures. Does anyone know why animated gifs on my computer are not animated?dan_plus_o...... What operating system are you using ? Have you installed a firewall recently by any chance ?

dl65 I am running Windows XP SP2. I have not installed a firewall or changed any firewall settings recently.dan_plus_o Is there anything else that isnt functioning properly since the animation STOPPED ?
Did you change any setting just prior to this ISSUE .....?

dl65 "Play Animations in Web Pages" is ON. My dad USES the computer but he wouldn't know how to change anything. My Brother is on the computer hardly ever and I don't think he would change anything either.

Everything seems to function properly since the animations stopped.dan_plus_o.... Odd ...... however ... if you know the machine to be pest free, you could always try system RESTORE and pick a restore date when the animations were working .

dl65 Would that mess up the changes I have made? The animations stopped working when I didn't change anything, but they weren't working for a few days and I did some changes since they stopped working. I made my D partition smaller and moved the SPACE over to my C partition. So if I do system restore would that mess something up?dan_plus_o..... Ah , you neglected to mention that little detail......
