Solve : AOL as default email in firefox?

Answer»

I just got a NEW laptop and wanted to know if anyone knows how to make aol my deault email (not outlook). I know i did it on my old laptop but i cant figure out how to do it again.

Any help would be great!
Thanks!
Yes. go to start -- control panel -- internet options. Select the programs tab, and then select AOL Mail from the mail dropdown menu. Hit apply and OK. This will make it the default email prog. on your PC, for any browser you MAY use. When I go to the programs tab, I dont see any dropdown menu for MAIL.can you post a screengrab?http://blog.taragana.com/index.php/archive/how-to-change-firefox-default-email-client-gmail-yahoo-aol-or-zoho/attn:ThomasTheXPUser - i thought screen grab only works on webpages?

attn: broni - i tried that but in my aol settings, theres no option for the firefox 3 add on
Try here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Changing+the+e-mail+program+used+by+FirefoxThanks - on the link you sent me it says that firefox 3.5 only supports gmail and yahoo at this time (but its strange that a previous version supports more than the new one)Quote

firefox 3.5 only supports gmail and yahoo
I don't see such info. Did you actually try to set it up?All the way on the bottom of the page its says:

Note: Firefox 3.5 includes only Gmail and Yahoo! Mail support by default. You may add other services when they add support for this Firefox feature.

Also, I went to options - apps - mail to and aol wasnt one of the choices and the only way to add another one is to CLICK the browse button and find it on my pc
Are we talking here about AOL webmail, or regular mail?Aol webmail.....i think - the way i check my email is by going to firefox - then aol.com and check my email. I want, for example, to contact someone who has a link on their website to email them, that by default, it brings me to aol.com webmail with the email address already there and not to outlook.Yeah. I have been having the same PROBLEM as you have been. I went through the steps to set it up but to no avail. Until I got to this post. THanks alot guyss.pbjelly123
Something worked for you?
