Answer» It keeps crashing on me every time i try to join a server. there's no error message or punkbuster message or any message at all. it just closes and sends me back to the desktop. my pc doesn't seem to skip a beat, either. i haven't made any alterations other than CHANGING the displayed resolution in the desktop icon's properties and changing the names of the intro movies so they don't play. i've uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no results. i've even (fruitlessly) did a system restore. please help meh!!!I've had the same issues as you, I think perhaps it's an X64 issue. When exactly do you get booted to desktop? Try updating Punkbuster using pbsetup, and also patch the game to 1.4. I have the problem that it keeps freezing on me about 5 minutes into a server and i have to restart, ive reinstalled and everything!well it's back to the drawing board for me. updated to the 1.5 patch and it's screwing up again. ea is still giving me stupid and non-useful troubleshooting advice.Lol, just dont listen to EA, its better for the soul... Ive gotten to the point to where im sure they dont release games, they release BETAs and update from there (holds up CNC3 Kane's Wrath as example) GOD help us when BF3 is releasedlol AGREED. they actually gave me the same advice twice (do a manual uninstall and then re-install and repatch with 1.5)
