Answer» I wasn't sure of whether or not to BUY Battle For Middle Earth 2 or not, but I wanted to try it out. Like most games, it has a demo. So... I chose to download it. C:\Documents and Settings\Timothy Bennett\My Documents\My Downloads\bfme2demo_english_final.exe is not a valid Win32 Application.Quote that eats my ability to browse the Internet with any speed for at least an hour DSL? Do you have a dial-up line? If you've played BFME1 it's basically the same thing but with better graphics, couple of new races, and you can now just build anywhere rather than fixed positions. Oh and you can create your own hero, but the range of appearances is somewhat disappointing.I have not played BFME1. I heard it was similar so I wanted to try it. Raptor, it is DSL. Faster than Dial-up, slower than cable. My average download speed is 150 KB/s.Faster than my cable.ummm Quote I have not played BFME1. I heard it was similar so I wanted to try it. But it's still Dial-up, isn't it? Can't you USE BitTorrent to get the demo? Some companies offer their downloads as Torrents. Works VERY well. No, it's not Dial-up. I am always connected. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL, also known as DSL). My connection speed is limited by my wireless router; I connect at 11 Mbps. If I was on a cable (not feasible), it'd be 100 MBps.Found out the problem. That's what I get for not using the official site. The real setup is in progress and is currently 93% of 1.36 GB.
