Answer» I'm GOING to the USA in the autumn. Would it be possible to buy a Wii and DS Lite there and to use them in the UK? What additional items would I need to pay for?Are the power OUTLETS different from the US and UK? I've never been to the UK before but I have been out of the COUNTRY where the outlet plugs were different, if that's the case, MAYBE just an adapter for those. What other kinds of differences are there between the two places? the games will be different in terms of NTSC and PAL won't they? if so, that might be a bit of a problem...You can do this, but the above statements are correct. USA and UK have different power outlets as well as different gaming formats. You would need a plug/outlet adapter...if they're even available. You will also likely need mod chips (not sure about the DS, but this probably applies to Wii) if you WANT to play UK games. You'd be better off buying at home.
