|
Answer» On a Gateway nv59c w/win7-64bit core i3-330m- 4Gb/500Gb can I run more than 1 browser? I would like to run ie8 on my admin acct. but on user acct(s) would like to use ie9. If this is possible can someone let me know the way(s) this could be set up I have never heard of that user accounts using different version. But found this one instead.I read the OP as saying he WANTS two or more user accounts and he wants different default browsers fort the accounts. I have never heard of that user accounts using different version. But found this one instead. That doesn't actually install different versions of IE on a computer. Your reference is describing a way for web page developers to test their pages on different browsers without having all the browser versions INSTALLED on their computer. The tool is called Browser Sandbox and it's online, not on the user's computer. I'm wondering why banditftw wants to do this. Why not just use IE9? Thanks for the responses ... I'm gonna try and see what happens The reason I WANT two versions of IE is I don't like IE9 and my other user(the boss--know what i mean) wants IE9 and two browsers is cheaper than two machines Thanks Oh, and thanks to the moderator that moved this to the right place for me If you are using WINDOWS 7 Pro or Ultimate run IE 8 inside XP Mode.or you can get a different browser, like avant browser, which uses the IE engine, if you so want to. |
