Solve : Can't access my university website; other sites ok?

Answer»

I'm sorry that I don't know what you mean by saying that "If I use ROUTER connect DIRECTLY through modem". I don't know what a router is or if I use one or not. Sorry to be so uninformed.

DrDDo you have only 1 computer connected to the ADSL router?Oh, by router do you mean the little black BOX with the yellow lights on the front? Yes, there is just one computer connected to this.

And, now that I think I UNDERSTAND you, as I said, my dial-up, which goes through a modem, does make the connection to the site.

DrDTurn off computer, disconnect your modem from the power source for 1 minute.
Power the modem BACK on. Restart computer.I did that but nothing changed. Still the same message.

What next?

DrDUnfortunately, I don't have any fresh ideas for now OK. t hanks for all your help. I'll try to contact the ADSL people and see what they can come up with!

In peace

DrDBruno: I just want you to know that the ADSL people resolved the problem. It took a couple of days but now I am able to connect to the site through my ADSL once again. Thanks for your patience and help.

Dr. DI'm glad, you're back in business heh...

Bruno...Oh, I got used to it...Sorry: Make that Broni, MR. Broni in fact. I'm kind of old
Dr DIt's OK
