Hi, I have windows xp, Norton, And Ad-aware.  My computer was running fine until a month ago.  I now can't click on certain links. I hear the click but nothing happens.  This only happens on some sites that before I had no problem opening.  I am a computer beginner   so simple terms please    Thank you!I'm betting that the links you're trying to open will open in another window otherwise known as a popup.  I'm ALSO betting that you've installed some sort of popup blocker and this is preventing the link to open.Thanks for the reply Joleen. I had already thought of that and had turned off my POP up blockers that are on my computer and the problem was still there.  When a link won't work I will hear the click and the blue IE bar on the top of the screen will blink but nothing happens. Help me if you can please this is very frustrating. Thanks.I know I have 2 pop up blockers for sure that I have turned off.  How do I find out if I have more then that? Could I have one that I don't even know I have? ThanksYou might have one via Nortan, AdAware, Google Toolbar or lots of other apps.  Take a LOOK at your Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel for more.  MAKE sure your virus and spyware definitions are up-to-date as well.  I'd also download the Microsoft Spyware scanner.ok can't find any more pop up blockers then the 2 I have turned off already and the problem is still there.  It's frustrating because I can't click on the links on my bank site, so Id like to figure it out soon. ok my problem was the same as one posted on Jan.23,2005  "not able to access external links"  they just used more accurate terms then I did.    I used the link that someone provided http://windowsxp.mvps.org/iefix.htm    and it worked perfect!   Thank you and I HOPE this helps others.
