Hi here's the problem, my internet explorer won't let me download any file and comes up with a box saying 'You're current security settings do not allow you to download this file'. Please could someone help me!Vekesh........ Is this something that just started ?
Which operating system are you using ?
Have you opened IE and clicked on tools ...then Internet options .....click the security tab .......and then click Default levels .......?

When's the last time you RAN your antivirus SCANNER ?

Does your E mail work ?

6. Reset all security zones to Default

I have windows xp, an antivirus scan has been completed with no viruses shown and all internet options have been set to defaults! This problem has arisen from nowheres so could someone please help with more suggestions!Do you have a firewall blocking these FILES? Any kind of controls (such as parental controls, etc.)? Are you administrative account of this computer? Is this a home computer, or an office computer?

[glb]Flame[/glb]I have norton firewall installed but i don't think it is blocking the files. It is a home computer so i am the administrator for it.Are you sure that the firewall is not blocking anything? is IE a trusted application? Do you have any controls on the computer? (parental controls, etc.)

[glb]Flame[/glb]I have set the firewall to default levels so it is nt blocking anything and ie is a trusted application.There are no parental controls in place at the moment, and yes i am in control of them!When you reset IE to defaults did you do ALL security zones?
Give us an example of a file you can't download so we can try it.Yes i set all security zones to default and it doen't matter what file it is i can't download it!Even if it is a mp3 or a jpg it still won't download!Scan for viruses.
