Answer» I have Windows 7.
I have my Google Chrome bookmarks saved in a backup file and I want to import them to a new user on my computer. However, when I am on my new user in Google Chrome and I select the option "Import bookmarks from html file", I am prompted to browse for the file, select the file, and then click "open". However, no matter where I click, every folder ends in "no items match your SEARCH", meaning I can't find my back up file to open in the browsing window opened by Chrome. In the browsing window, under file type (next to file name) it says "Firefox Document" and I can't CHANGE it.
I can, however, still find the backup file if I just start at My Computer. Does anyone know why this is happening? It is probably because the EXTENSION of that file is WRONG for some reason. Maybe .htm INSTEAD of .html?Try moving the file to a USB pen drive and see if it works that way...
