Solve : Can't open web URL'S from MS Outlook 7?

Answer»

???I know their must be a box to check or something, but I have searched. When I click on a web address in outlook
reading pane, I get a message that My Computer won't allow me to do this. PLEASE help.Tools - Trust Center - Automatic Download - Uncheck "Don't Download Pictures Automatically.....". While there adjust any other settings you want to.

See if that does it for you.Do have more than one browser installed? What is your default browser?

Was this working OK and then suddenly stopped working? If so, what did you change just before the problem started?Quote from: stevener11 on April 03, 2010, 04:37:57 PM

When I click on a web address in outlook
reading pane

Could just be me, but I've never heard the term reading pane. Do you mean the preview pane, or when you click on an email and it is full screen? Not the ticket. Still doesn't work. I have been bouncing back and forth with other browsers while I
test Webs I am working on, but I had prior to set the default back to IE8.

Preview Pane. Does the LINK when you go full screen?

There was a suspected virus SEVERAL years ago that could work from the preview pane even if you didn't click on any links. I don't know for sure but MAYBE Outlook was modified so links couldn't work from the preview pane because of the virus.
