WPA (Windows Product Activation) did not begin until WINXP was introduced. No blacklists for WinME. IE5 is unable to access Windows Update, fully. You need to download a Full Install of IE6, first. I bought the pc new. I used to be able to upgrade internet explorer, but for awhile now i can't.I am not a big fan of WinME, but maybe it's time to do a Repair Install. Or, depending on the computer, maybe upgrade to WinXP. If your computer came with WinME, it's probably about 5 years old and it will most likely run WinXP. CPU needs to be at least 300Mhz and minimum memory is 128MB.
