I am running IE8 on Windows XP SP3. I have been unable to log in on TWITTER. Every time I TRY to log in I get a message reading "You cannot use the Twitter website without having JavaScript enabled on your web browser. Please re-enable JavaScript and refresh this page." I have checked in Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom Level>scrolled down to Scripting and made sure that both Active Scripting and Scripting of Java Applets are checked. I just did a FRESH reinstall of Windows and I am still having the same problem. Before reinstalling I also tried re-registering the .dll also to no effect. PS my antivirus is Microsoft Security Essentials. Could this be preventing Twitter from running?Java and javascript are different things.

How to enable JavaScript Active Scripting is checked. This problem has persisted even after a fresh install of Windows and IE8.Turn off MSE's active scan and re=boot...any difference ? ?How about in other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, do you ENCOUNTER problem while browsing your Twitter?
