Hello-
I have a problem with installing a theme in firefox.
I have firefox 3.0.10.
Previously I had 3.0.9 and had the same problem.
When I go to Tools-Add-Ons-Themes and select a theme, I can click the "Use Theme" Button and then firefox says re-start now? and I go OK and then it says firefox will remember my pages and it closes and re-starts and the default theme is still there!!
I've been to the Standard Diagnostic page-->http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox
and tried everything they suggested but to no avail.
I don't know why it seems so important to change the look of my browser but it bothers me and I don't know what to do?
Can anyone suggest something?
-N.What Themes have you downloaded and now have available in Firefox when you go to Tools-Add-Ons-Themes? Where did you get them? Which one are you trying to use?I got these themes from firefox. Tools-Add-ons- Get Add-ons-browse all add-ons and then choose themes from the page that loads etc.They are as follows:
Utopia White
Gradient iCool
Stratini
Mangan
Noia (xTreme)

Thanks but I've been there and the only THING LEFT would be to assume that some third party software is blocking my being able to install a theme in firefox.
The question is --How can I find out which program it is?
Unless you know of an edit for prefs.js and user.js..
