Solve : cannot type in hotmail compose box?

The problem is, when I try to compose or reply to a messsage, the "cursor" does not show up in the text box at all!  does not let me type anything at all, although everything else, like the "smiley faces, tools, etc. bar" is there.

I AM able to receive messages, read them, AND reply, but I can only type in the SUBJECT area.

Any help would be appreciated.1. Start

4. INTERNET Options
5. Security tab
6. Reset all security zones to Default

6. Restore Defaults button.i did i above said settings, but without any result. mine is IBM laptop with Pentium III, 64 RAM and with windows 98.Is the system up-dated with msoft!

Are you blocking certain cookies?nothing like that
