Solve : Cant import a Java for Opera? |
Answer» Have W7 and had definitely PLANNED to use Opera but the new Java se6 v 20 does not seem to work in my Opera 10.54 which means it doesnt work for my BankID either. There seems to be a java version for Opera but I can not import that one via the Java Installer, it does not work...any suggestions? Use of IE is NO option...ACCORDING to http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/375/, you only need to install Java in Windows. You do not need to install a plugin because Opera uses the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) on your system directly instead of using the plug-in to run Java applets. yup, possible but it still doesnt work. Have installed latest version 20 in 32 bits and version 17 in 64 bits...At present, I only have Opera installed in Linux Ubuntu. So, not sure what else to advise you. Exactly what is the problem concerning your BankID? soybean...in XP/IE8 the Java Applet automatically started because it is used when entering my bankaccount and after that I can do business online with the bank...in W7/Opera that Applett doesnt start because they say Opera is using JRE and not a Java plugin...so that neceassary applet does not start up and so no me getting in into my bankID...and that means I HAVE to use IE while i am trying NOT to use MS applications.... strange thing: I see now that I have IE8 in both 32 and 64 bits in W7? that means I HAVE to use IE while i am trying NOT to use MS applications.... I am sure using a Microsoft application isn't going to kill you. Unless of course you have a crazy gunman standing behind you just daring you to us an MS application so he can PULL the trigger. Heck you are already using Windows 7 so I guess you would be screwed either way if the crazy gunman was there. |
